With the pick of the Vice President nominee, Sarah Palin, the Republican Party has turned their convention into a strange hybrid sitcom.

It really is a Grand Old Party.

  1. What a ridiculous comment & it only proves that which is already blatantly obvious. The Democrats are jealous and now feel threatened. Governor Palin’s charismatic presence coupled with her fearlessness to confront Corporate America & major political figures in her speech during Wednesday night’s Republican National Convention was the spark that was desperately needed to reignite the hopes & dreams of the American People. Clearly, this woman is a leader & not since Ronald Regan has anyone spoken with such bold scrupulousness. The Democrats need to stop acting like spoil rotten children. Remember until last Wednesday Republicans had to tolerate the possibly of Senator Obama as the next president. Keep in mind sometimes even the strongest & most responsible of leaders require a charismatic right hand man to express his/her views. Is it possible that the so-called God-fearing & God-loving Democrats have forgotten Aaron’s contribution to Moses? No wonder God refers to people as children. Grow up!

  2. This is wonderful. And so is the above comment. Love that conservatives are checking out the site.

  3. Thanks Jen and Detective Nurse. I think you guys are our first people to comment on our new site. The above comment is wonderful. It’s great to see someone so passionate about his/her politics and religion.

I made the above video, so maybe I should reply a bit more. I enjoyed Governor Palin’s speech and I do think she is a remarkable woman, even though she’s a tad power hungry. There has been way too much exposure of her family and everything surrounding it, exposure I don’t think her family needs…and whether that’s the democrat’s fault or mainstream media’s, or both, I don’t know. With McCain being so old, and all these claims of Palin’s abuse of Power, and her clear lack of experience, I don’t think she’s even close to being ready for a vice president position, let alone the presidency.

This video was not made by a democrat (and certainly not God-fearing), and no sir/miss, I will not grow up!

Keep checking in. Good to have different opinions here.

  4. Damn. I left a comment on this post a few days ago, but obviously it wasn’t right wing enough. All I wanted to say was that the video is cracking and so’s the new site. As a long term Northern Exposure fan, I find it hard to think about Palin & her home town without imagining Cicely, Alaska.
But now we’ve opened up the politics, as a foreigner I’m depressed by the focus on her as a hockey mom and corruption-busting ordinary American, with no reference to issues and history. Once you look into it, she’s a creationist who doesn’t believe in man-made global warming. When she was mayor, she tried to get her local librarian fired for stocking inappropriate books, and the council forced her to employ an administrator to handle the actual running of the town, because she was so bad at executive decisions and administration. She ‘busted corruption’ once by exposing a dodgy deal done by a rival republican she didn’t like, and as soon as she was in office, she did huge deals with big oil and abused her powers to get her ex-brother in law fired. Oh, and spending and tax both increased in her home town during her mayoralty and she’s not been fiscally conservative as governor either. All of these things contradict the narrative they’re spinning, and which detective nurse repeats here. so much for what is ‘blatantly obvious’ and ‘growing up’… RAAAAAAAAAA
